THE FIRST COLOUR MOVING PICTURES
A fascinating look at the restoration of archived film shot by Lee & Turner at the turn of the 20th century. Their color process was widely regarded as a failure by film historians, but the National Media Museum reconstructed the footage in color following the precise method laid out in Lee and Turner's 1899 patent.
RON TAYLOR, CONSERVATIONALIST, DIES AT 78
SYDNEY (AP) — Ron Taylor, a beloved Australian marine conservationist who helped film some of the terrifying underwater footage used in the classic shark thriller "Jaws," has died after a long battle with cancer, a close family friend said Monday. He was 78.

IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS ART
Art Clokey was an early pioneer of stop motion clay animation. His 1953 experimental student film, Gumbasia, gave birth to Gumby, which debuted on the Howdy Doody Show in 1956. Art was also the creator of Davey and Goliath.

JULIA CHILD REMIX
Here's another auto-tune mashup 'remix' from Melodysheep studio. This one stars Julia Child (August 15, 1912 – August 13, 2004).
Julia Child is recognized for introducing French cuisine to the American public with her debut cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and her subsequent television programs, the most notable of which was The French Chef, which premiered in 1963.

Following up on its hugely popular Mister Rogers piece, PBS continues its roll-out of auto-tune mashup 'remixes' starring famous personalities. Here's master oil painter, Bob Ross (October 29, 1942 – July 4, 1995) who made it all look so easy.
Bob Ross is best known as the creator and host of The Joy of Painting, which ran for more than a decade on PBS in the U.S. and Canada.
